Des Moines house fire causes damage, but pup is saved

DES MOINES, Iowa —Firefighters rescued a frightened little dog from a burning home in Des Moines on Wednesday.

Firefighters pulled the dog, Bugsy, out of the home and called animal control officers around 9 a.m. The dog is OK.

Des Moines Fire’s Capt. Steve Brown told KCCI News that no one was home when the fire broke out in the laundry room.

About $10,000 worth of damage was reported.
