Knittin’ for Kittens at ARL

By on November 23, 2015

If you love knitting, animals and social events, the Animal Rescue League has a perfect once-a-month activity for you. Knittin’ for Kittens is one of the many clubs ARL offers on a regular basis and allows knitters to come together (or stay at home and work alone) to knit or crochet beds for its adoptable animals.

The second Thursday of every month from 5:30-6:30 p.m. in the Humane Education room at ARL Main, you can  knit or crochet beds for the cats at the ARL! Knitting supplies & instruction are provided. Size 13 & 15 14″ needles are the best for making the kitty snuggles and we can use donations of needles and yarn.

RSVP is not required.

Can’t make it when the club meets, but already know how to knit, quilt or crochet? You can donate completed cat beds to ARL Main:

5452 NE 22nd Street
Des Moines, IA 50313

Measurements should be 12×12″ minimum and 20×20″ maximum in diameter (or any design shape in between).
